Forced to retire in 2008, I turned to my passion, writing. I published my first novel, "A Little Murder in the Biggest Little City" in October, 2012. I answered an ad for an articles writer, shortly after that, and wrote hundreds of articles for the Las Vegas Guardian Express. Later, in 2013, I became the Managing Editor. Turnage/Novelist Demands on my time performing my management position, and still attempting to author several articles a day, were the reasons I decided to resign. I published my second novel, "The Holiday Killer" in November of 2013. I am working on my third in the trilogy about Reno detectives and an insight into the casinos in Northern Nevada. Both are available on Kindle. I have a blog, "Ask Reverend Jim," and a website, "James Turnage/Novelist," and attempt to keep them up to date. I live in Sun Valley, Nevada, am married, and have two dogs.
