Bush Blows! Is It Holy Smoke or Wholly Smoke and Mirrors?

Bush Blows! Is It Holy Smoke or Wholly Smoke and Mirrors?

Do you know someone who is suffering from Detail Deficit Disorder (DDD)?  This affliction is a result of the mind being left idle for too long.   These people most likely voted for bush in the last election and unless they receive help, they are in danger of repeating that act again.  People with this affliction seem to be unable to grasp the truth of a statement or to even question the details.   If they are told that no weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq, they hear, weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq.  They do not hear the word "no", but neither do they ask to see the proof of the weapons.

As a result of this affliction these poor souls are highly susceptible to blindness resulting from bush's smoke.  They seem to lose their ability to distinguish bush from the members of the holy trinity.  Due to their blurred vision, and their blind perception of bush as a holy figure, they have allowed themselves to be conditioned by bush's lies and deception.  They have relinquished their duty and responsibility to think for themselves.  They no longer search for truth.  They have become so frail and helpless that they rely on bush to do all their thinking for them.  They wander the earth encircled in the haze and smoke of his deception.  Their minds now believe that bush is some sort of holy figure and that he is beyond sin.  They believe everything he says without question.   When bush speaks, it's the holy truth.  There is no need to query his statements even when those statements fly in the face of reality.      Due to the disabling effects of DDD, when bush speaks, those suffering from the disease see and hear holy smoke rather than what is actually transpiring, which is wholly smoke with the occasional aid of a few mirrors.   We must find a cure for this condition if we want to save lives in our country.

Tuesday night bush will address the nation.  His speech is supposed to be an honest assessment of the state of the union, but actually it will be a speech written for the folks who suffer from DDD and who are addicted to holy smoke.  His holy smoke will be to tell them that our economy is booming.  That's wholly smoke, because he won't tell them that the deficit is soaring and that much needed high-paying jobs are being exported over seas.  He will tell them that we are winning hearts and minds in Iraq.  He won't tell them that we are killing people in order to obtain their hearts and minds.  He will tell them that no child has been left behind.  He won't tell them how many children are without health insurance or how many are struggling in sub-par schools.   He will tell them that jobs are being created.  He won't tell them that during his time as president he has lost more jobs than any president in recent history.  He will tell them that spending one and a half billion tax payer's dollars to fund "proper" marriages is his God given duty.  He won't tell them that those same dollars will find their way to his pet, faith-based initiatives.  He will tell them that they are safer than they were when he took office.  He won't tell them that homeland security is under-funded and that many first responders are still lacking the equipment they would need should we be attacked again.   He will tell them that his planned missions to Mars and the moon are affordable.  He won't tell them that he applied for and received a credit card in all their children's and grandchildren's names, and that he has already maxed out those cards.

You get the idea now.  Bush's state of the union address will be calibrated for those suffering this affliction of ignorance, DDD.  It's written for those who hear what bush is saying and take it as the holy truth without question, without details.  They will line up in front of their televisions to be fed their nectar of opinion sustaining lies.  Bush will dole out more of the lies to which these people have become addicted, and they will mentally record what they hear and then go about their daily lives.  They will spout and shout those lies as though they knew them to be the whole truth.  The lies will be repeated over and over on television.  Fox news channel seems to employ many of these afflicted souls and cater to others with the same condition.

These poor suffering human beings cringe in fear if you even mention that bush might lose the election.  They cannot bear the thought, because bush has become the primary source of sustenance for their catatonic illusion of righteous contentment.  Without bush who would do their thinking?  Would they have to be responsible for their own acts and decisions?   Have they become completely addicted to bush's holy smoke?  If there's no bush, does that mean they must face reality?

A person who has DDD is afraid to see the truth in the details of reality.  They are afraid of what they would see if the holy smoke should ever settle, and all that would be left would be the mirrors. They are afraid to see what the mirrors will reflect, because the mirrors will reflect an ugly and cruel reality.  The mirrors will reflect the face of george bush in every ugly scene, and viewed in the mirrors of reality, he will no longer be mistaken for, sound like, or resemble, anyone's vision of God.

(Within just minutes of writing this piece, a man called into C-span and stated, "I support president bush.  I'm tired of hearing these liberals talk about thousands of innocent Iraqis being killed.  If bush killed thousands of innocent Iraqis, he did it for Jesus, because he is a man of God." )

I rest my case!
