The Misunderstandings of Genesis
In the first article (Part 1: the Errors of "Young Earth ), young Earth creationism was proven to be both mired in foolishness, and in biblical error. Not only do they turn a blind eye to scientific reality, but they also teach doctrines not supported by the Bible, and don't understand the written text. Genesis actually contradicts a "young Earth . The years that Adam lived which were recorded (930 yrs) are taken from the time period starting from when he was expelled from the Garden of Eden. According to the analysis, and studies taken from the Black Sea, the modern geologic era began in 7200 BC.
Let's say that Adam was made in 7200 BC, and the modern animals were formed by God in 7100 BC, to keep Adam company. After 100 more years of not feeling fulfilled, God made Eve for Adam in 7000 BC. This allows 2,933 years for Adam to be in the Garden, before disobeying God in 4267 BC. However, Genesis chapter one speaks of a previous species of mankind, in which the male and female were made together at the same time after the animals of that prehistoric period, millions of years earlier than Adam & Eve. So Genesis supports an older existence of life forms, and is the first written documentation of prehistoric mankind, given to modern man.
Creation Science also harps on "no death and sin on Earth before Adam . Ask them to find that scripture! Where they get that from is by combining the following two verses:

For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.
By 1) pointing to the year of the fall of modern man (4267 BC), mistaking it for when God created Earth, and 2) contriving "no death before Adam by misunderstanding the above two scriptures, they teach that the Earth and universe are only 6,000 to 10,000 years old, and that the life forms of 245 million years ago and 65 million years ago both died in 2611 BC", which is ridiculous!! How can an untruth, ever prove another lie, to be in error? If you don't have the truth of Genesis, how can you correct the errors of secular science?
What they don't understand is that there is a difference between death by dying, and being born into death. The day that Adam sinned, he began to die (or was "cut off ). Just like when you pull a leaf or cut a rose stem, the leaf or the rose do not immediately whither away. It's a slow process. Adam lasted for 930 years after he sinned. Since he was in a dying state, all of his offspring would be born into death, meaning that after reaching the age of maturity (30 yrs), the aging process would continue until the body would die of old age. Otherwise, we would all forever remain about 30 years old.
During prehistoric times, there was no aging beyond maturity, unto death. When life forms died, it was by accident, disease, or by an intentional killing. Since Adam was the "principal of both mankind and life forms on Earth, death by aging entered the modern world, which paved the way (or reason) for Christ to enter the world. But in prehistoric ages past, there was no penalty of death put upon all life forms. They mostly died because of extinctions and disease. The question is, who or what caused the periodic extinctions? An exception to this could be that lower life forms aged and died, and humanity lived on. That could explain the reason carnivores were created, to consume and remove the dead.
In the second article (Part 2: the Errors of "Old Earth Creationism), the infidelity of all old earth creationism was revealed. They do a very poor job of trying to blend the findings of science, with their misunderstanding of the text of Genesis. What they end up doing is diluting the Word of God. Unfortunately, much of Christendom is so skewed up, that they now "honor Charles Darwin and proclaim Evolution Sunday. They have been turned over unto a reprobate mind, denying both the truth of the Bible and it's Divine authorship. Not understanding the scriptures is no excuse for fornicating against God and His written Word. Not only that, many of them refuse to even examine the truth of Genesis, even when given the chance. So why even waste time pretending to believe in God? God's Divine power is proclaimed on the Fourth Day, when He created the entire cosmos in 12 hours. So creating fully formed animals and humans in one day was "as easy as pie .
Let's not forget Intelligent Design. "ID is too shallow, and conveys nothing of much value, other than "life is too complex to have developed on it's own". Beyond that, it tells us nothing. Does it tell us why there are extinct life forms in the geologic strata? Does it tell us why and when prehistoric mankind lived and disappeared from the face of the planet? Does it resolve the differences between what science has discovered and what unskilled people have perceived to be written in Genesis? No it does not, on all counts.
Often, you will hear or read about people stating that they are for or against creationism being taught in schools. There are no creation accounts in Genesis, so what would be used as study material? The First Day of Creation Week isn't found in the Bible. So who has been trained in this area? No school system in the whole world has anyone that is qualified to teach Biblical Creation. So what would they be teaching? Foolishness, or false doctrines? If anything, they would be teaching misunderstandings of Genesis, and misrepresenting God's Word.
If you are going to teach American History (the Pilgrims), you would start with background information which took place in Europe. There were reasons why people were looking for alternate routes to India, and later wanted to leave "the old world . If you are going to teach Native American History, you have go back in time to 2509 BC, in order to convey the proper information. So why did God create our universe? When He did it, is determined by the age of our Moon and Solar System. Starting from infinity, what finally convinced Him to put us here? What was God doing to occupy Himself dectillions of Earth years before then? Teaching Biblical Creation starts with Genesis 1:1, then goes backwards toward infinity. So again, who has been trained in this area?
The opposing view of evolution is not creationism, so you would have to be teaching the correct counterpart. The evolution theory begins about 600 million years ago, which is 4 billion years after the Earth was formed. Biblical Creation ends with Saturday, the Seventh Day of Creation Week, 4 billion years before evolution supposedly took place. These two themes are not defining the same time periods.
How long after Creation Week did things begin to go wrong? When, what, and why? You can't use the fossil
record as an indicator, because it only relates when life forms died, not how
long they lived or first came into existence. What were the factors
involved? How would an Extra-Celestial
Civil War have any connection to our Earth?
Some of the old Earth creationists teach that Satan and his angels
"fell from Heaven to our Earth, and caused it's demise. Do you have any idea on how many galactic
groups, galaxies and solar systems would have to be bypassed in order to reach
our planet? Our universe is not a
dumping ground for extra-celestial riffraff. Is there some hidden portal that
leads to a realm outside of our universe?
There is much more to this story which is not being taught.
When you read Genesis chapter one, you are not reading
about Creation Week, but about God's rendition of geologic history, 4.6 Billion
BC to 7200 BC, which was revealed to the nation of Israel in 1598 BC. When you get to Genesis chapter two, after
the third verse, you are reading about the origins of modern mankind, and the
beginning of the modern era of life on Earth.
Without personal instruction, you can not understand Genesis chapter one, because the days which were revealed to Moses were not given in chronological order, and were taken from the first week of seven different time periods. Therefore the days were not linear. Moses did not understand this himself. What God showed him, he just wrote down, with hopes that it would be understood later. I would go as far as to say that those visions which God revealed to Moses were the same as what God probably revealed to Adam while he was yet in the Garden. Adam had nearly 3,000 years to ask God how the Earth came to be, while he was yet in the state of innocence. That's why many other nations have a derivative of the same rendition, and call it an account of creation.
Be advised that the only known day of Creation Week that God has revealed to mankind is the Fourth Day, Wednesday, which chronologically occurred first. The fifth day of Moses chronologically occurred second. Therefore, anyone trying to teach that the first day of Moses mentioned in Genesis 1:2 which the Earth "was without form and void as the first day of creation, doesn't understand Genesis, and is speaking from ignorance.
Genesis is a book of history, advanced math, and
science. It conveys the history of our
Earth, when you mathematically solve for the unknown, yielding knowledge of our
origins. It does not contain creation myths, or allegorical stories. Only when a person has the correct training
can they properly decipher what God was revealing to mankind.
This is the reconciliation of both the Genesis text, and the discoveries of secular science. A higher power, originating from outside our universe, created the cosmos, and has had to periodically intervene over the course of Earth's history to maintain life on this planet. Each time life forms have been lost from the face of the Earth, such as an extinction, this planet has become dark and desolate. The proof of this is in the geologic strata, the fossil record of escalating death, and the observations of Moses.
Final Analysis: current creationism does not answer the bell. Young Earth doctrines teach foolishness (flood geology), denial of reality (prehistoric life forms), and can not correctly explain the Genesis text. Old Earth creationism teaches weak compromise with the conclusions of science, denial of the Divine (both His Word and His power), and also can not correctly explain the Genesis text. So why do they continue to believe a lie about Genesis? If you can't get your own house straight, how do you expect to get your neighbor's house in order? Until believers themselves accept the truth, they will not be able to convince the unbelievers. They should ask themselves, "is what I currently believe congruent with the scriptures ? The answer is "NO !! Is what that has been presented here in accord with both the literal scriptures and the discoveries of science? If not, please reveal the errors.
