The Protest Planned for March and the Status of America

I'll join Cindy in March with sleeping bag and camp stove only if I am satisfied that the initiative is authentic, i.e. that it is not another lark in the park, not another stage for the national orgs and peace celebrities, not a lot of sloganeering bullshit, and that there will be the necessary mass and the determination to remain in place or -- as the ancient Greeks would have it -- to return only with our shields or upon them.
.
Yes, they've stolen our Constitution and disgraced our nation in the eyes of the world and history. I hold the Liberals (my normal persuasion) more responsible than the obviously venal and intellectually challenged Republicans. The Liberals-- with our support -- put another layer of duplicity atop the Bushco treachery. Obama escalated the War of Lies in Afghanistan and-- just in the past two weeks --its budget was endorsed in a Democrat-majority Senate with 88 votes! Beyond that, he has extended all of licenses to poison our privacy by legions of creeps and vast investment of high-tech spy machinery. Hey, George Orwell didn't write fiction, he simply recorded history in advance.
.
So what is America today? It's a pyramid topped by a very small apex of not-necessarily completely American greed-masters and power-lusters.
.
Next rather slim layer down are our elected greed-slathering servants to the masters, led by the President and our Congress, aided and abetted by the Supreme Court (of Accommodation) and the various departments headed by the traitor-president's loyalists and staffed by flunkies, including our skulking minders.
.
Next comes the broader layer ofthe new-style military, actually for the most part consisting of the underprivileged by virtue of race, mentality, or economic circumstance, and even criminal records (!) and these troops reinforced by the contemporary equivalent of the Hessians so denigrated and despised in our history schooling, such as Blackwater, et al.
.
But then come the masses of the pyramid: firstly those who believe that everything is OK, any criticism is unpatriotic, who Support Our Troops, and for awhile boosted the bumper-sticker and flaggie industries into unprecedented prosperity. This group has shrunk a bit of late only to join the next and larger group beneath it, that group who believes there is a debate to be pursued and that will probably result in everything being solved by the next national elections.
.
But then comes the most massive group of all at the base of the pyramid, consisting of two sub groups: Those who have no inkling that anything whatever is amiss, and those who might suspect that something's wrong but don't give a rat's ass.
.
Hey, what about our group? We know! We -- although feeling perhaps overwhelmed and sometimes discouraged -- we care! Where are we in the pyramid, at least those of us not seeking peace-celebrity status and who feel compelled to recover America? Well, we're in the pyramid there someplace, but our numbers are so scanty as to be represented by a mere line, and as we know from our math studies, a line merely represents the distance between two points; a line has no breadth, no mass, and so we are without statistical significance, being as it were non-existent, at most invisible to the 300 million mass of citizens and to the upper masters, except in the record vaults and on 24-hour watch lists of their "security" apparatchiks.
.
So, being invisible although quite possibly nonetheless watched and recorded, what are our choices? There are essentially four. The first two are so despicable as to merit no argument, those being (1) to join in supporting the treachery, or (2) to follow down the plastic path of the activist-celebs indefinitely. Trash those.
.
The remainder of choices merit considerably more thought, they being (3) to totally give up, and (4) despite the odds of our succeeding, to raise as much ruckus against the treachery as we can muster.
.
I have personally made the firm choice variously between (3) and (4) at least a hundred times in the past several months. I will probably make that final decision again today.
