Provisional Voting Risks for Iowa's Flooded Counties

I believe that Iowa citizens who live in counties designated as being eligible for Federal Disaster Declaration for Individual Assistance due to the floods of May 2008  are at critical risk for the possibility of being forced to vote Provisionally in the November 2008 Presidential Election.

FEMA Release Number 1763 - 022

FEMA as of June 16, 2008 said that the initial storms were May 25, 2008.  Twentyfour counties in Iowa are included in the Federal Disaster Declaration for Individual Assistance.  They are:

1. Adams

2. Benton

3. Black Hawk

4. Bremer

5. Buchanan

6. Butler

7. Cerro Gordo

8. Delaware

9. Fayette

10. Floyd

11. Hardin

12. Johnson

13. Linn

14. Marion

15. Page

16. Story

17. Tama

18. Union

19. Cedar (added 6/15/08)

20.  Jones (added 6/15/08)

21.  Louisa (added 6/15/08)

22.  Muscatine (added 6/15/08)

23.  Polk (added 6/15/08)

24.  Winneshiek (added 6/15/08)
