MSNBC's Schuster's "Pimped Out" Chelsea Remark Draws Clinton Camp Ire

AP reports, "In a conference call with reporters, Clinton communications director Howard Wolfson Friday excoriated MSNBC's David Shuster for suggesting the Clinton campaign had "pimped out" 27-year old Chelsea by having her place phone calls to Democratic Party superdelegates on her mother's behalf. Wolfson called the comment "beneath contempt" and disgusting.

"I, at this point, can't envision a scenario where we would continue to engage in debates on that network," he added. "

MSNBC is still hopeful.

But this may be the tip of the iceberg. A few weeks ago, Chris Matthews was pretty rough on Hillary and it may be that the campaign is remembering those words too.

The question is, if the Clinton camp draws a line and virtually declares MSNBC off limits for their campaign, as WOlfson suggests, how will that affect the MSNBC coverage of Hillary. It's hard to imagine that MSNBC and possibly NBC anchors and newscasters, even producers and writers may feel some resentment to Hillary. That could translate into adverse coverage for Clinton, and or enhanced, more favorable coverage for Obama. It doesn't necessarily mean that MSNBC will intentionally bias the news, but newscasters are human....
