Sometimes you just have to laugh at accusations like this. I point it out not to direct what would be well deserved ridicule at Fintan or his site, but to show some of the folks here at OpEdNews how ridiculous it is to make accusations like this. I have seen this in the past several times here and at other Democratic/Progressive sites.
The other thing I have to say is that simply accusing someone of being a member of a country's intelligence agency means nothing to me even if it were to be true. So what if it was true about certain internet posters? Do you think members of these agencies are monolithic, single minded people? If you take any member of this site, or Fintan himself and as an example, they said yes to an offer of employment at any of these organizations, does that suddenly change whether their word or their logic is any good?
Like 99.999% of organizations out there, governmental or otherwise, there are good people in the intelligence services, there are bad people and there are people who fall somewhere in the middle. Its just like progressive forum owners, there are people like Rob here at OEN and some others who are good and there are folks like Fintan who always have their tinfoil hats on and accuse everyone else out there who has an opinion even slightly different from theirs of being CIA.
I guess the only thing I have left to say is, it doesnt hurt my feelings at all if people accuse me of being CIA, Mossad, MI6, or any other of these. I just wish if people are going to do that, I could at least draw the paycheck and get the pension.
