Obviously if you decide to shut down your electricity field, or just sit in the dark for the hour tonight, how will you listen to the song? Learn it ahead of time!
I first found this song when enjoying the fellowship of an eclectic group of Unitarian Universalistists in Waterloo, Iowa. The minister has a stellar soprano voice, and the family folk band includes piano, and a variety of guitars, mandolins, violin, banjo, flutes, and gifted singers, artists, and musicians, who can synchronize beautifully. So when I first heard Blue Boat Home, is was a visceral ecstatic experience, and the notes transported us all to a feeling of unity and moving forward as one, as diverse as the group is. Fantastic.
So, on the earth hour day, where across the globe, across this "blue boat home' we call the water planet, mother earth, the home of our peace and war, life and death, this is the theme song that takes us above and out of the duality and transcends the petty (petit) perceptions to one of the unified field we long for. ENJOY!
p.s. if you wonder how you will watch youtube with your electricity off, memorize the song, or hum the tune, or watch it today, then enjoy the reverberations of it echoing through your mind while you have your darkout. It makes a right brain, whole brain experience, wouldn't you agree?
