Allowing for a) the contents of Article 6.1 of Bunreacht na hEireann (the Constitution of the Republic of Ireland, and as such the SUPREME LAW of the Republic of Ireland), and b) that our Constitution (i.e. that of the Republic of Ireland) is very firmly founded on the "Doctrine of the Tripartite Division of Powers of Government" (the origins of which can readily be traced back to the "Golden Days" of ancient Athens circa 500 BC), why is that the three main branches of our Government (Legislative, Executive and Judicial) all failed completely -- between the three of them -- to ensure that "the people" of the Republic of Ireland were given the opportunity to have the "final" say -- or indeed any say at all -- on the highly controversial and hugely important decision by our Government (Republic of Ireland) to bail out the banks?
