Healthcare Pipe Dream
I have managed to avoid watching most of the Candidate debates due to the simple fact of there being so many candidates and so many debates and it has all been a year too early to bother sorting out all the BS.
I did perk my ears up when they first started talking about healthcare but that went down the tubes quickly.
The best that most of them can come up with is ‘mandated health insurance’. It is absolutely amazing that they haven’t all been laughed off the stage or ripped to shreds by mobs.
Other than Dennis Kucinich, who actually seems to have a clue on what is going on with the poor and the elderly, the best that the other ‘great minds of our time’ can come up with is some form of tax credit for poor people to use in order to pay for mandated insurance!
Yikes, have these people no brain? If I am so poor and un/under employed that I cannot pay for decent insurance (at $800 + a month), trust me, I can’t use a tax credit – I’d have nothing to use it against! When you are that poor, and there are more of us than you think, we don’t pay any taxes. Even the gov understands you can’t get blood out of a stone!
So, what are they going to do - arrest us? Put us in jail where we get fed and have medical care? Are they really all that stupid – or divorced from reality?
Once again folks, vote them all out – or at least vote in as many ‘not the main parties’ people that you can in the desperate hope that there will be some level of reality and understanding in government.
Both of the main parties have already shown that it will be business as usual when they are elected. Maybe a third party candidate can’t be elected as president this time but enough of them in Congress and on the State level can make the big guys have to compromise some and require them to listen on occasion!
