NEW YORK—A New York City police department detective, a NYPD sergeant and others have been indicted for their roles in a conspiracy to distribute cocaine base (crack) and cocaine.
NYPD detective Luis M. Batista, 34, and NYPD Sgt Henry Conde, 34, have additionally been charged with obstructing justice and conspiring to obstruct justice and Conde is accused of making false statements.
Indicted with the two police officers are Alexander Alcantara, 28, aka Moreno and Deyanira Sanchez, 35, aka Yanira and Yadira.......... North Country Gazzette
