Message Mike Bendzela
"They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps...

"And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves." (Matthew, companion of Christ)

***

America, the Shining City on the Hill. This is the lamp. Iraq is the vessel. Blessed be.

Soon enough the "foolish" will say, "Give us of your oil." Then we in our wisdom will say, "Go find your own." See our light burn brightly, whilst the fools stumble in darkness.

On Day Three of Creation, Jehovah put oil into the vessel of the earth and granted it to the Righteous to subdue so that we may have dominion over it.

It is as it should be. We shouldn't keep the truth about our vessel, Iraq, under a bushel basket. Rather, let it shine so that all men may see our good works. Let's announce it from the housetops.

I think these good thoughts as I turn my Escalade into the parking lot at church of a Sunday morning. The lot glistens with the gifts of righteousness: Suburbans, Excursions, Trail Blazers. Not a Prius in the lot. All full of the gift of life.

After church, we adults recline in the luxurious warmth of a #2 heating oil furnace, whilst outside it is ten below. We drink our imported coffees safe in the knowledge that our kiddies are in the basement of the church, learning the truth about Noah's Righteousness. When the rains came, Jehovah sealed him and his family up into the Ark, safe and warm.

Jehovah's cup of righteousness overfloweth again. It surgeth.

Abraham's righteous nephew Lot of Sodom, like Noah, got ample forewarning to flee before Jehovah's wrath. We, too, have our prophet, M. King Hubbert, who in 1956 forewarned the CIA and US crack military forces to seize the Rumalia, East Baghdad, and Kirkuk oilfields in time for Armageddon, 2007, that the good citizens of the US might watch it transpire on their televisions while munching pork rinds in the warmth of their homes.

Jeremiah, prophet of the Lord, tells us, "See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant."

We have now destroyed terrorists, and pulled down their statues, and thrown down insurgents. It's now time to build and to plant pipelines and refineries.

I support the troops and their righteous surge. Every dead soldier will come back to haunt every liberal in the form of heated jail cells, terrorist-sympathizer transport boxcars, and well-stocked produce aisles at interment center commissaries.

"Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled." (Matthew)
