We are in a strange time. Doo dum dum dum

I now know where Neil Diamond came from, but not why he seems to have faltered or why he didn't. Doo dum dum dum

All things are of a piece and they are not. Physics is a mess. Grown men grapple with the awful news that we cannot see or feel 80% of the universe. To wile away the ignorance they postulate four (perhaps more) different kinds of parallel worlds and universes. Things that can never be verified, yet with a consistent theory, the things we can see and verify might begin to make sense. Doo dum dum dum

A new president blessed with a good mind and good speeches embarks on a perilous voyage among enemies within and against forces no man can long stand without wondering whether the goal is good or not. Doo dum dum dum

The internet seethes with vituperation, panic, hatred, and always fear. Fear is midwife to human consciousness. Doo dum dum dum

But we miss the point. We are so busy surviving, we think. We don't really know what survival means, because we cannot see 80% of the universe, nor 100% of the future, though we believe the past is prologue. Hallelujah! In fact the reason is that we fear ourselves desperately. Doo dum dum dum
