Request For Federal Investigation In The Disappearance Of Mitrice Richardson From Lost Hills, California Jail
Dear Representative,
Mitrice Richardson is a college graduate from California State
University of Fullerton, in Psychology, with a 4.00 GPA. Mitrice
Richardson has begun the process of acceptance into the Psychology
Professional College, Alliant, to pursue her Ph.D. as a Clinical
Psychologist, she also happens to be African American and openly gay.
On September 16, 2009, Mitrice sat at a table with complete
strangers whom she allegedly told that she was from Mars and spoke
gibberish according to Geoffry's restaurant staff. (Please note the
sheriff department determined that she WAS NOT intoxicated.)
Before the arrest was made, Mitrice Richardson's family insisted
they would pay the bill and had payment in hand in the form of a debit
card, or credit card, whichever the manager, preferred. Payment was
declined unless it was done via facsimile, which was not immediately
available to Richardson's 91 year old great-grand mother or, her
mother. Subsequently, her car was towed, and she was taken to the Lost
Hills division of the Los Angeles Sheriff Department, where she was
originally booked for DUI. The charge has been downgraded to failure to
pay tab.
Mitrice Richardson was booked into custody after 10:00 pm, and then
released shortly after 12:38am. The officer in charge initially told
her mother that she would be released at 4:30am. He later told her
mother that she was released at 1:30am. (There are many inconsistencies
in the police report). The officers were aware Mitrice Richardson was
not from the area. The deputy acknowledged that Mitrice Richardson left
alone, walking up Agoura Road. The deputy has recanted that statement.
The police report has been altered, white out has been used to cover
names on the report. Male officers searched Richardson without a female
officer being present. Recorded conversations with officers altered,
erased, & recording numbers missing. The family was told that
Richardson was released due to the overcrowded jail when it was later
determined that the population of the jail was, one inmate.
Mitrice Richardson had no money, food, water, identification or
cell phone, and was released to wander in a desolate area of canyons
and wildlife foreign to her, while obviously in a depressed state of
mind. Mitrice Richardson is loved and supported by her family and
friends. Mitrice Richardson is in a crisis and is in danger, support is
needed to find her. We are asking for a federal investigation into the
whereabouts of Mitrice Richardson.
