Capitalism.
Capitalism, just by its very nature, denies responsibility and shuns care. It is an organism that thrives on acquisition, exploitation and consumption. Without AEC it withers and dies. Capitalism is an engine that constantly requires feeding -- there is no such thing as benign Capitalism (as we practice it).
The fires in Brazil, started and nurtured by Capitalists, and Donald Trump represent the inevitable end stage of Capitalism (as we practice it). They both are cancers that have metastasized and are growing in plain sight -- no longer hidden in the body Capitalist (as we know it).
