U.S.-North Korea Nuclear Deal Breaks Down

North Korea has announced that it will suspend the process of disabling nuclear facilities and will consider redeveloping its Yongbyon reactor because the U.S. has delayed in removing the country from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.

A North Korean official said, "Since the US has broken its agreement, we must take counter-measures according to the action-for-action principle."

The U.S. says it has suspended the process of removing North Korea from the list because of unsatisfactory cooperation on verification.
