When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace.--Jimi Hendrix
I am an avid supporter of Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and have recently come to support much of what the former Governor of Minnesota, Jesse Ventura, states on his Off-the-Grid program.
I see that in the media, there is a slow-drum-beat encouraging Sanders in a 2016 run for the President of the United States. Here are a few articles on line discussing him and his plan.
On the one hand, I don't like Ventura's blanket anti-foreign aid attitude. On the other hand, he would be serious about cutting spending on defense--reducing greatly the number of USA military bases outside of the USA. Moreover, he sees "war as a racket" while supporting better health care coverage for all.
What do progressive readers think of both Jesse Ventura an Bernie Sanders running on the same ticket for our President in 2016?
