Why The Public Option Plan Should Be The First Segment of any Health Care Bill

Why The Public Option Plan Should Be The First Segment of any Health Care Bill
In my opinion Ted Kennedy was another Paul Wellstone. Both have proven to be the "true" political representatives for our American working and retired People that may be difficult to replace in the future considering that the Lobbyist of today control many of our politicians and also their Agenda.I also do not understand how our U.S. Federal Employee's can have the ability to choose from 300 various health plan options to fulfill their health needs, but the majority ofour average American People are now deprived of selecting only one single "Public Option" plan that is nowbefore our U.S. Congressthat couldbe canceled or weakened through a "trigger" mechanism that would weaken and delay the "Public Option Plan" "in it's entirety" for many years to come that in the interim should be considered as being meaningless, counterproductive, andalso unacceptable for those desiring Universal Health Care at the present time.. .

It has also beenreported in the media that perhaps a"Public Option" billshould be passed in two separate stages: One stage fora non-controversial"partial bill"to be identified as a so called "trigger mechanism" that would insure passage in the Congressin the present year of 2009 as a starter, andthen passanother "Second Stage"Public Option health insurance bill that is now considered to be "controversial"sometime within thenext electionyear of 2010 or possibly beyond. However, a majority ofthe voting public as of today believethat passing this legislation in "two separate stages"is nothing more than a "copout"in relation tothe "Public Option Plan in favor of the HealthIndustry andareinsisting that the "Public Option" plan MUST be included in it's entirety withinthe "First Stage" of anyHealth Care legislationin this very year of 2009 regardless of what the Republican or Blue Dog Democratpoliticians may sayor do. In addition, many Democratic voters also believethat if former President George W. Bush and his ControlledRepublican Congress could pass a huge, complicated, and expensiveMedicare Prescription Drug Bill in it'sENTIRETY that the present dominated Democratic Congress could do the sameduring the present year of 2009.
The American Public should also bealert to the fact that It was also the "desire" ofU.S. Senator Ted Kennedy topass a "Public Option"health provisionin regard to"any" health care law that may be passed bythe entireCongress,do to the fact that itwas his very own Senate Committee members who voted and approvedthePublic Option provisionPRIOR tothe Senator'sunfortunate death. It was also Senator Kennedy's"final" legislation bill that he hadworked so hard to achieve throughout his previousyears in the U.S. Senate and also in regard to health care in general, and ittherefore wouldbe appropriate that his proposed "Public Option"legislation shouldnow behonored in his memory for his pastworkto improve the everyday lives of our American People.
It isalso inconceivable thatHealth Care costs have been of great concern to all our American People regardless of their present political party affiliations, and it shouldthereforebe appropriate thatany form of a Health Care Insurance Bill that is passed by our present Congress"before" the end of this year should include the "Public Option" plan that will control or containhealth care costsfor our American People inthevery near future. If any of our present political leaders in Washington D.C. believe that the "greedy" Corporate Health Insurance firmsof the past would voluntarily reduce theirprices or profits in the following year of 2010 or beyond, they are living in "La La Land", and should therefore be voted out of office. We should also take into consideration that It was also Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton who both advocated "affordable" health care for all our AmericanPeople duringthis Nation's 2008 Presidential Campaign.
In retrospect to the previous, the cost of health care should be the top priority of the Congress and our American People; because it does not make any sense whatsoever to pass a Health CareBill of any kind that does nothave a "guaranteed" cost control provision that will control "price gouging" after the present year of 2009. In essence: Why should our American People be penalized by continuing to payhigher health care costswhile ourelected leaders decide to delay and debate the "Public Option" segment ofany Health Care Plan proposalfor political gainwithin theelection year of 2010 or beyond?Considering the previous, our American Citizen's should send our Congress Members a clear message "that the Public Option Plan must be passed in the present year of 2009 or they may be placed onthis Nation'sunemployment statistic list in the year of 2010."
The Democrats should also take into consideration that they have lost Kennedy in the Senate, and Senator Robert Byrd is now hanging on to life by only a thread. In addition, there also could be other setbacks in regard to "unexpected" deaths relating to other Democrats in the Senate that could eventually deny the Democrats a "filibuster" proofmajority within the Senate that couldresult in the defeat of any additional health care attempts in the future. We should also take into consideration that thevoting public is unpredictable on how they may vote for members of Congress in the election year of 2010.The American People also realize that if the "Public Option Plan" or any segment thereofSHOULD NOTbe tabled for a voteonce again in the year of 2010, chances are thelegislationwould not come to a vote on the Senate floor at all, sincea majority of our American Citizen'srecallthe manneron how the "illegal" immigration bill never saw the light of day in the Senate either.over a period of years.
It is therefore essentialthat a "complete" Health Care Insurance Bill witha"Public Option" provision WITHOUTthe so called "trigger" mechanismmust receive "top priority" and approved by our elected leaders in Washington D.C.soon as possible prior to the end of this year.In addition, this Health Care legislation should not be considered as a Republican, Democrat,Independent, orLobbyist Bill, because it is not.It is a billthat is demandedand supported bya majority ofour American People in a sincere effort to improve their health andalso their livelihood.
THE CORPORATE HEALTH CARE LOBBYIST MUST BE DEFEATED NOW!!
