Jonathan Ofir explains why the hard slap that was delivered to Ahed Tamimi before she slapped back, is hardly mentioned at all - and how it represents a grand pathology of denial: Why hasn’t this slap, by the soldier to Ahed, featured more prominently? Why have we hardly noticed it? Why, and how, has it drowned in the mainstream narrative of the supposedly ‘restrained’ soldiers? The answer lies probably and mostly in Israeli propaganda. If you search for “Ahed Tamimi video” on Google for example, the first hits of an actual video will be tailored ones, by pro-Israel organisations, which edit out the soldier's hard slap which Ahed was responding to.
