ChatGPT and other AI - emerging almost on a daily basis - is already upending people's livelihoods, forcing people to realize that >90% of what they do is unoriginal and can be done by a machine that looks only at what has already been done, works off prompts and is, at most, guided by humans, increasingly removed from the creative process. Herein, how one writer wonders how ChatGPT anonymously scraping his work will leave him an opportunity to make a living. Some options are considered. So is a Basic Income Guarantee, for what seems like the inevitable time when there is not enough work for all the people who need an income.
