"The question that occurs to me is whether Americans see the noose they are wearing — or see that they are standing on the edge of a precipice."When I look at America today, I see a nation already undergoing an implosive, violent, and spectacular collapse from zombie capitalism to something more like the incipient stages of fascism. Degenerate capitalism collapsing into fascism is an old story — an economy whose true product is despair soon enough turns to one of rage and hate.  I want to tell a different story in this essay. The story of three strands of modern-day fascism emerging, weaving together, into a noose of ruin, hanging around the neck of a society."
