It's amazing what NASA had already developed during the 1960s and 70s. Today's private company rockets are old-fashioned chemical rockets, not even capable of leaving orbit. We were supposed to be on Mars and in permanent space stations with artificial gravity, and beyond by now. What happened?
We need a public space program to make real progress, not millionaire joyrides for suborbital minutes-long hops.
