Next week there will be a runoff between two candidates to replace Georgia's new governor, Brian Kemp, who elevated himself to that office from SoS by controlling his own election. It's Stacey Abrams vs. Kemp all over again, with one candidate, John Barrow (D) running according to her priorities and the other, Brad Raffensperger (R) reiterating Kemp's. Turnout is predicted to be light, but some conscientious activists are on the phone trying to persuade potential voters of the importance of electing Abrams at this level, which will reinforce her important lawsuit seeking to outlaw the corruption that elevated Kemp's corruption onto a more powerful rung.
