I'm not certain anyone is paying attention to Venezuela, with all the bad news from both the Americas. Even the World Cup has brought more rotten news to the multitude of Latin American soccer fans. Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, Columbia, and today Brazil are on the list of futbol powers who will not be appearing again this year.

Toss in a few of the smaller countries like Costa Rica who didn't survive the group stage, and Americans, both north and south, can feel excluded!

Political news is even worse! Ecuador has joined the neocon camp, with the arrest warrant for Rafael Correa, the former president.

This book, and the review, put western media sources in perspective. What else but propaganda can be printed, when the checks are written by the plutocracy?
