What is Therapeutic Justice? It is the realization that each and every citizen has the right to be healed. What does healing mean? It means that each and every citizen has the right to be put in touch with that healing inner light.

This contact with the inner light is the "therapy" in Therapeutic Courts. It is the liberation behind the abolition of slavery. It is the recognition behind the woman's suffrage movement. It is the inspiration behind the Civil Rights and the Restorative Justice movements. It is the simple intuitive recognition that a healing justice "should focus on repairing harm" and that "the responsibility of the government is to maintain order and of the community to build peace."
