Is to become a student activist.

For the dead never vote. Or almost never.

A student activist delivers votes,

Even the votes of the dead. To kill, and to

Be killed for the sake of democracy

Is the highest purpose that these boys can serve.

And what can his obituary say?

He died for liberty? For decency?

He died to make the world a better place?

Dead in a boarding house at twenty-five,

Bathed by his blood; we used the boy to please

The west, the fair-faced people -- to feel bloody white.

TRIGGER

A female student of the Bangladesh Engineering University and Technology (BUET) was killed in crossfire during a gunfight between two factions of ruling BNP-backed Jatiyatabadi Chatra Dal (JCD) [the party's student wing] on the university campus yesterday....

Sources in the JCD said tension had been mounting between two rival groups for the last several (sic) days over capturing of the tender worth Tk. 87 lakh [= $147,457].
