I do not see Bernie Sanders as the lesser of two (or the least of multiple, more like it) evils. It's not like Bush v. Kerry, where the latter was/is only very slightly the lesser of the two.

It's not even like the first Obama election, when even if McCain hadn't taken 5 unvetted minutes to decide on Sarah Palin as his running mate, we knew he was a 40-plus-year case of untreated PTSD behind his Vietnam POW experience, shot from the hip in personal confrontations with both colleagues and adversaries, and would likely blow us and everybody off the face of the earth within his first year in office-- or his running mate would.

Or the second Obama election, by which time everybody knew Obama lacked balls, but the alternative, a capitalist predator, was too clearly going to hurt people, and was a mediocre campaigner to boot.

I don't see Sanders as an evil at all. I could wish for a greater good, of course. Frankly, if I had my druthers, I would want this planet unified under the government and care of the Dalai Lama, maybe the most completely compassionate person on the earth, who surely knows who to delegate the tasks needed to save our species from self-destruction

I may give more money, Jim Greene (the trollish guy), if it looks like he may whup Hillary after all. But, so, hey, bet me. 3 to 1, if you think any Republican, even Michael Bloomberg, can defeat the Democratic presidential nominee in 2016 if it's Hillary Clinton. Then we can talk about the idea of any Republican doing the same to Sanders.

My name is William Perkins Homans the third, but probably more people know me as the bluesman (and artist) Watermelon Slim.

I've been in the fight against war, fascism, injustice and inhumanity for 47 years. I was at MayDay, 1971, (more...)
