Performer Ryan Harrison was also the principal singer on the CD. Attendee Bruce Winslow, Ph.D., was captivated with the jewel-like qualities of Harrison's voice, saying it "sounded like rubies on glass."
Marlene Head, Lydia Nibley, and Michael Butler Murray also sang, and Murray provided guitar accompaniment as well.
The Autry National Center was formed in 2003 by the merger of the Autry Museum of Western Heritage with the Southwest Museum of the American Indian and the Women of the West Museum. It is an intercultural history center dedicated to exploring and sharing the stories, experiences, and perceptions of the diverse peoples of the American West.
The Autry National Center is the first major American museum to recognize the contributions of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community to the American West.
