What would happen if we placed the Prime Ministers and the Presidents in a one-on-one fight against each other and whoever won that would be the end of the war. But no, instead we race towards mutual destruction gambling against long range ballistic missiles and political pandering knowing that we the hero would not die but only our pawns. As long as the Prime Ministers and Presidents survive then we sit back and enjoy the show.
You know that God chose to create Satan as an antagonist, a false mentor to show what it would be like to follow satanic actions. Throughout history there have been unethical leaders and unethical followers. He who chooses unethical actions is the one choosing himself to be the Anti-Christ, "the chosen one" creating utter destruction for all those who follow him and even, when the Earth burns in the fires of the forests of Australia, Brazil, Mordor and the state of California, for those who resist him. It is tempting to follow, imagining personal gain, but don't let yourself be one of them. The resulting truth may be unbearable pain.
Choose wisely. If you follow a leader whose actions are unethical, you are certainly not following the words of Jesus. In the incomparable words of Mr. Rogers, It is harder to receive than it is to give. So choose truth wisely and you will receive as you will give... compassion, love and certainly that elusive commodity that keeps us whole, called truth.
