The magic bullet is not smart bombs, but fundamentals. Economic enrichment. We cannot force another sovereign nation into condone forgiveness, but it would be a good idea to consider what the infusion of legitimizing the hidden billions might do to the smart people who want to support human rights and a better Colombia with money that is currently suppressed by law.
It would seem the primary platform for the lower Colombian strata who are to rely on the fourth estate, the press, and the inequity by journalists who come down to the Republic of Colombia with an agenda to exaggerate the benefits offered from US military dominance and control, and they have misdirected the attention on accomplishments made in Colombia to encourage more military violence and the financial suppression of human rights. The fact remains that Colombian leadership has brought up the fundamentals to enrich the Colombian integrity with accomplishment.
What remains is only to find a way to forgive or neutralize the ill-gotten gains from this drug war and give those willing to repent a chance at financial stability with the ability to have means to go straight.
There is still a lot of bullying and corrupt extortion, an economy of kidnapping and bribery; but the question the fourth estate avoids reporting is to what extent this is a result of the criminal repression, for the leadership is not reaching to outer space and satellite or smart bombs to fight them. The leadership is putting trained and compassionate boots on the ground. What seems to be working is the fundamental human contact. The engagement of smart people not smart bombs.
