But now humanity has $0 money savings, and literally nobody on planet Earth is earning a single nickel of money by working at producing stuff. Global "earned income" has fallen to $0. With $0 money savings and $0 money income, the people who want the goods have no money to buy the goods. With no customers spending their incomes buying goods, OMNICORP cannot earn any sales revenues. Without sales revenues, there can be no profits to distribute among shareholders. So the goods cannot be sold, because humanity is no longer getting paid, because humanity is no longer working.
And it is mortal sin most dire -- "give me earnings or give me death" -- to give somebody money for nothing; that someone might get something without working for it.
Sales are flat (flatlined at 0), time to reduce output to cut costs. But wait. Costs are already at $0, because we are not "paying" anybody. We already own the resources of the world and we laid off humanity and we already own the economy machine that converts resources to sellable goods. It would cost money -- a dead loss -- to hire somebody to push the OFF button to shut down the production machine.
The capitalists refuse to do it. They just finished investing all of humanity's money savings -- the investors' four quadrillion dollars of "liquid capital" -- building a machine that eliminates the need for "paid labor", so hiring a worker to shut off the machine would be a kick squawr in the nuts to capitalism, an admission of abject failure, a triumphant victory for labor. Give them an inch and they'll start a communist revolution.
One CEO of OMNICORP once suggested using a series of offshore shell companies to import an illiterate deaf mute immigrant temp contractor -- who could be paid 15 cents "under the table" out of petty cash and was guaranteed not to "talk" -- to do the job of shutting off the machine. But the labor-loving communist red socialist CEO was shot and arrested and hung and pushed off two buildings and fired and replaced with somebody who understood "sound business practices".
So the machine continues converting natural resources to consumer goods and storing them in great rotting rusting piles while humanity dies of stupidity.
