Even comedians like Rachel Maddow and Seth Myers got in on the gag. In typical fashion, Maddow allowed DNC chair and all-around awful person Debbie Wasserman Schultz to come on her show and smear Bernie Sanders supporters without a shred of evidence. (Please, no more nonsense about Ms Maddow being a "liberal." From having a right-wing bigot as a regular contributor to softball interviews that are intended to give political elites cover, she toes the corporate line like all the rest of the celebrities at MSNBC. The logic is inescapable. Her show either follows the "Meet the Press" formula or it doesn't exist.) Myers, for his part, rightly points out how blatantly biased corporate media are against Bernie Sanders. But the purpose of his segment is not to support Bernie Sanders; nor is it to explore the reasons why the media hate his campaign. The purpose is to turn Bernie supporters into Hillary supporters -- the corporate line exactly. Myers is confident, he assures viewers, that progressives will inevitably jump on the Hillary bandwagon because, well, she's practically won the Democratic nomination already and, besides, The Donald. No thought is given to her actual record or to the fact that no real progressive would ever vote for her, no matter what the circumstances. Begin the segment as if you support leveling the playing field and then quickly morph into a sales pitch for the status quo. Classic bait-and-switch.
Barbara Mikulski ? Debbie Stabenow? Tammy Baldwin? Kirstin Gillibrand?
What will you say to the parents of the soldiers sent recklessly into harm's way by President Hillary, the best and brightest sacrificed in her criminal pursuit of empire? What excuse will you offer? You thought she'd read the intelligence this time?
What will you say, one year later?
One year later, what could you say?
