Marsha sighed. "I apologized and told him I thought it was a piece of crumpled up paper. We smiled at each other and waved off. But, what was I really thinking when I saw him toss it? On MLK day of all days."

I added. "There's some great ideas for us all to consider. Today--and every day." Slow nod. "Because we have the luxury of choosing to overcome racism. Dr. King and so many others, then and now, did not and do not."
"At least we're trying," Marsha admitted. She pointed at the TV monitor showing President Trump golfing in Florida, and shook her head. "At least."
