The Washington events were not illusory as claimed by ROC prosecutors. They were standard-fare political events to buy influence. There is an element of smoke and mirrors involved, but that is nothing unique to TCG, rather, that is how the game is played in Washington.
Roger and Julian Lin and one other remain imprisoned in harsh pre-trial detention, incommunicado and without bail. The punishment has already begun before the trial has even started.
