Republicans fail in attempt to re-write Sarah Palin's history

Are these attempts to re-write Palin's political history sowing seeds for the Republican lunatic fringe?   They can look on this and see the unconditional claim that Palin was undefeated.   You can hear them now:   Hey, look here, it says that Palin was undefeated, so she must have won the 2008 election for Vice President.   See there, the Democrats stole another election.
