It is hard to say if Donald Trump really believes in everything he says, or if he is building a character so to attract a particular part of the U.S. electorate, one that has been scared since 9/11 and is blaming immigrants for the broken economy.
All that can be done now is wait to see what will happen now that he has actually become the official Republican candidate, and, now that it's happened, if the majority of voters will choose him to lead the country for four years despite his ideas.
