No-nuclear-power activist and artist Laura Lynch brought together your April 4, 2016 statements about how dangerous nuclear power is. "In my view, we cannot sit idly by and hope that the unthinkable will never happen." http://www.lohud.com/"/bernie-sanders-shut-down-i"/82614910/

"I am very concerned that the Indian Power nuclear power reactor is more than ever before a catastrophe waiting to happen." http://www.upi.com/"/Bernie-Sanders-wants-NY"/6741459810912/ "We must take action to shut this plant down in a safe and responsible way. It makes no sense to me to continue to operate a decaying nuclear reactor within 25 miles of New York City where nearly 10 million people live." https://www.rt.com/usa/338410-indian-point-bernie-sanders/

"We cannot allow the ailing nuclear industry to endanger the lives of millions of people just to squeeze out every last cent from its failing infrastructure." http://www.nystateofpolitics.com/"/sanders-shut-down-india"/

"Even in a perfect world where energy companies didn't make mistakes, nuclear power is and always has been a dangerous idea because there is no good way to store nuclear waste." http://www.nbcnews.com/"/bernie-sanders-calls-shutting-down"

"That is why the United States must lead the world in transforming our energy system away from nuclear power and fossil fuels." http://feelthebern.org/bernie-sanders-on-energy-policy/

Some People Influential In Your Life

Noam Chomsky

CORRECTION, MAY 16, 2016: I misunderstood Noam Chomsky's reference to "nuclear disaster" in my paragraph below. After reading the transcript of Democracy Now!, May 16, 2016, I emailed him, asking him to clarify whether he was referring to nuclear war or nuclear power. His email response was that he was referring to nuclear war.

Beverly Stohl, Noam Chomsky's assistant for many years, wrote in December 2015, "I recently heard Noam tell a journalist, 'Climate change and nuclear disaster are the two most important issues that could lead to the termination of the species.'" I thought you would be interested in what Professor Chomsky thinks about nuclear power, since when you sat down with rapper Killer Mike in Atlanta, the Washington Post wrote "They slid into a corner booth together, ordered some chicken at Killer Mike's suggestion, and proceeded to discuss family, the shortcomings of the media and their mutual appreciation for the work of the philosopher, Noam Chomsky, among other things."
