While doing marketing and publicity for Laughter For the Health of It these past two months, I've also been noticing that spending so much time thinking about and discussing laughter seems to have elevated my already naturally high emotional set point. This makes sense to me as even more evidence of the shared mind/body principles between hypnosis and laughter. In hypnosis, we say the body can't tell the difference between what is real and what is vividly imagined. In laughter yoga we say the body can't tell the difference between laughing at something funny and laughing on purpose. My recent experience suggests this may extend to just thinking about laughter!

JB: Great segue back to your book, Dave. Thanks. How's it going? What kind of feedback are you getting so far?

DB: Feedback has been strongly positive, especially from hypnotists and therapists. Some readers have experienced challenges getting started doing unconditional laughter on their own but then find it is easier when they contact us or engage with our Facebook page.

JB: Great. Anything else you'd like to add before we conclude?

DB: We also have a site just for the book and will be adding more exclusive video content there to demonstrate various laughter exercises and ways to bring them into your daily life.

In addition, Kelley and I are experienced public speakers. We're both now offering workshops and trainings for businesses to improve teamwork, expand emotional intelligence, reduce stress, achieve peak performance, and otherwise explore the health benefits of laughter. Oh, and the book is available in hard copy and for Kindle.

JB: Thanks so much for talking with me, Dave. Good luck with Laughter for the Health of It. You're tapping a huge potential market out there, since all of us suffer from stress to one degree or another. So, I can't think of a single person who wouldn't benefit from a good dose of laughter yoga.
