I don't know what's in the redacted parts of these reports. On page 78, number 193 the censor left in the following: "(TS/" [13 character REDACTED] ") Although not within the scope of the CTC Program, two other incidents" [14 character REDACTED] "were reported in 2003." [2.5 lines REDACTED] "As noted above, one resulted in the death of a detainee at Asadabad Base" [1 line REDACTED]
So we can know that interrogators failed to heed whatever guidelines they had signed and therefore we know everything was "their fault," and we can know that something we did "resulted in the death of a detainee," and we can know wearing diapers to absolutely degrade and embarrass someone for up to 72 hours is okay, and we can know that it took us 183 times waterboarding some terrorist who remarkably survived, except for his mind, to get all his useful intelligence and after 183 times all we really got was spittle (literally), but what the redacted sections scream to us is "THERE ARE THINGS IN HERE THAT YOU SHOULD NOT KNOW, CANNOT COMPREHEND, AND ARE PRETTY AWFUL!!!"
Wow!
And "Wow" isn't a very good word. That should be something like "Holy f...ing s," but up to this point this piece has sort of been G, or PG rated and I don't want to go there, so
Wow!

I'd like to see the full report, please, President Obama. I won't tell anyone what's in it and please take out any interrogator's name and any top secret locations and junk like that. I'd also like to have an opportunity to discuss with you some of the stuff you've done that I thoroughly disagree with. I sure do wish, too, you'd be a tad bit more progressive, a tad bit more aggressive with all this change stuff, a tad bit more green-focused.
I wish, also, you were old enough to remember I spy. I don't know, too, how popular Bond was in Indonesia or Hawaii, so maybe you missed out on that cultural phenomenon. And you probably never read Spy vs. Spy. For one thing the black guy always lost, and although that's reflective of most of our country's history, with the obvious notable exception of your election (although I could argue taking over for Bush was a losing proposition), it's not a paradigm you share.
Even with all the preceding, however, Mr. President, I won't go back. Within reason do whatever you want. After voting for almost every republican presidential candidate since Nixon, I cannot imagine a scenario where I'll vote another republican into office in my lifetime. I look at the unparalleled damage done to this country by the previous administration and my conscience simply will not allow it. So, within reason, do whatever you want.
There was simply too much stuff from the last 8 years of fear that had to be redacted and if you read our Constitution and our Bill of Rights, which you obviously have, we're not a nation of redaction.
