Rumor has it among pundits in and around Boston of a possible Trump/Clinton ticket.
Apparently they will meet soon in secret in Iowa to discuss the details of a possible merger. Some insiders are admittedly surprised; few are shocked. Most main-street news pundits think it would be a hard-to-beat act to follow between the actual billionaire and the ultimate Washington insider multi-millionaire.
The advantages of the millionaire/billionaire merger would be enormous.
The billionaire Republican is already the frontrunner. But there are doubts about his ability to sustain his frontrunner status. It's not so much that pundits disagree so much with what he is saying as with how he says it.
They fear that Donald may be (forgive me but I can't think of what else to call him) a loser -- unless he does something radical.
Republicans worry about his unfavorability rating. He is perceived by too many voters as not being a very nice person. Too often he is honest about what he thinks, which in his case is not advisable.
Hillary would balance his outspoken ways with her silence. She knows how to NOT say things.
She has the charisma of Rick Santorum in a confessional.
Hillary would have to get over some things, like Donald's misogynistic talk -- his blood-coming-out of-wherever type statements. But if anyone can handle this kind of insult, Hillary can. She has been dealing with it ever since she married Bill.
And her appeal to the vote-for-the-devil-as-long-as-it's-female voter would be enormous.
