"Primitive Man"--a series by Major Ralph Hamilton (1918-1999)
Background: Ralph was aware of women's issues--partly from exposure to new ideas and people he met in the Long Beach State Art Department during the 1960s--and also from the women he'd been with in his life. He saw how women are traditionally given a raw deal, especially in terms of expected breeding and child-rearing, and general subservience to men. He didn't think that was proper.
