Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian American serving in Congress, reports that the powerful lobbying group, AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee) is planning to spend more than $100 million in an attempt to unseat her for speaking up for a ceasefire, as well as trying to unseat and other Squad members in 2024.

Tlaib notes, "A new Reuters poll found that nearly 70% of Americans want a ceasefire. However, only 6% of us in Congress have called for a ceasefire.

Now AIPAC is set on ousting those of us who represent the vast majority of Americans further subverting our democracy. Remember: AIPAC endorsed over 100 insurrectionist Republicans who tried to overturn 2020's presidential election.

Now AIPAC is set on ousting those of us who represent the vast majority of Americans further subverting our democracy. Remember: AIPAC endorsed over 100 insurrectionist Republicans who tried to overturn 2020's presidential election.

Funded largely by pro-Trump Republicans, AIPAC and its affiliated PACs spent over $40 million in last year's elections to defeat progressive Democrats. That included more than $1 million to flood my district with misinformation and attack ads against me, in an attempt to mislead voters.

AIPAC's tactics are an affront to democracy. We cannot let them undermine the will of the people, and we cannot let them silence our urgent call for a ceasefire.

... Together, we will keep building the movement for Palestinians to live freely alongside Israelis, with human dignity and equal rights. Together, we will continue to advocate against oppression everywhere.

Rashida Tlaib is an American politician and lawyer serving as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 12th congressional district.
