MSNBC is reporting that John McCain attacked US Senator Barack Obama today at a campaign appearance saying the Illinois senator sat on the sidelines of the failed bailout effort and did not put his "country first."
McCain's pathetic comment is a sign of desperation after a series of political bumps and bloppers including his selection of Sarah Palin as his running mate and comments that the American economy was fundamentally sound on September 15, 2008.
Palin has become a national joke, lampooning herself in interviews with ABC and CBS: SNL's comedy skit pales in comparison to the real thing.
McCain's disconnect with economic reality is matched only by his overestimation of his own role in a bipartisan bailout of Wall Street that failed on a House vote this afternoon apparently, according to McCain's logic, under his own leadership.
McCain sat through a White House meeting last Thursday without asking a single question and then left Washington, DC to rehearse for this past Friday's presidential debate before going out to dinner with his wife.
McCain's shameful lying is a disgrace and belies an erratic, unprincipled, and unstable egoist that would say or do anything to retain power and impose eight more years of failed Republican Party policies on the American people.
