The White House is working hard to paint their rapidly-expanding genocidal carpet-bombing programs as some unforeseen natural disaster. Despite the stupendous windfall for Ford, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, General Electric, and the rest, 1 the administration is "heartbroken" now, from the career-endangered president down to the last career-endangered press-flak.

I had to go to bed without reading anymore "news." But it's gotten into my dreams lately, and sure enough, it was worse by morning.

Damning Israeli "settler" violence with faint praise, the Biden administration announces financial sanctions on individual perpetrators (Can they do that?) while opening up a new front on "Iran-backed" (sic) Yemeni upstarts (wait, where did they come from?) and loading up the next shipments of toxic bunker-busters for the last designated "safe" (read: "free-fire") zones in Palestine.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Twenty-five (count them: 25) state governors just signed a letter declaring they would stand with the governor of Texas in "stepping up to protect American citizens from historic levels of illegal immigrants, deadly drugs like fentanyl, and terrorists entering our country" (AKA his xenophobic floating-chainsaw-razorwire immigrant-drowning system).

Seriously.

According to watchdog groups, the next episode is to be a "Take Back the Border convoy" reported to be converging on Eagle Pass, TX, Yuma, AZ and San Ysidro, CA, including contingents from various militia- and vigilante-style groups (many seen at "J6"), thought likely to be armed and angry, but somewhat disorganized. Texas Governor Abbott has announced 2 that he and 13 other governors will visit Eagle Pass this weekend for a "border security briefing"; other public servants reportedly involved include Rep. Keith Self, Johnson City Mayor Stephanie Fisher and the Cochise County Republican Committee.

That would be quite a party.

If Abbott pulls this off, and it goes, um, south, the feds will have few options. The potential for massive disorder, loss of life, and law enforcement failure could supersede all other priorities overnight. Maybe Mexico would be well-advised to seal its own border, at least for the weekend.

45 may look like a cherry bomb in a dormitory sewer by comparison. If he doesn't manage to top a bizarre border war involving rival state and federal law enforcement, military, ICE, FBI, and who knows what other agencies, up against/alongside of armed militias and vigilantes, then Abbott, with impeccable timing, may be expecting 70 million genocide-happy write-in voters waiting to landslide his ass into the White House. Should there happen to be an opening.

The US "election" isn't going to make much difference in Palestine. The Genocide-Industrial-Complex won't even "pause" before locking-on to another population of long-marginalized and helpless civilians. Presidents don't control it now, quite the contrary, and none of the possible candidates show any sign that they care how many people have to be incinerated as long as it keeps unemployment and gas prices low, and dissent distracted and ineffective.

Why should we believe this will stop, given a level of corruption that provides blanket impunity for live-streaming extermination of an entire people? It's a growth industry after all.

Gaza was only the biggest-ever-concentration-camp-in-the-world. The Wall stands between the Empire and the biggest-ever-world-in-a-concentration-camp.

Welcome to "Zion."

I'm an old Pogo fan. For some unknown reason I persist in outrage at Feudalism, as if human beings can do much better than this. Our old ways of life are obsolete and are killing us. Will the human race wake up in time? Stay (more...)
