This article is in response to a repeat by Ray McGovern of his original one published here in December 2010. [1] It is worth reading again because of his stature and the blunt and true fact that humanity faces one or more of four forms of Doomsday later this century by the machinations of the most evil and powerful force in the world, the corpocracy's superior corporate and subordinate elite in government in America.
McGovern begins his article by reminiscing about the war protestors, including well-known peace activists, standing in front the White House fence in the year 2010. My reaction to that opener is that while anti-war protests are certainly a courageous and patriotic endeavor, it is simultaneously a futile exercise as history apply demonstrates.
McGovern trots out civil disobedience as a promising counteractive and quotes Henry David Thoreau who was imprisoned for his civil disobedience. In one of my earliest books, I described the "Velvet Revolution" comprising a plethora of disobedient acts that succeeded in overthrowing a highly unpopular Communist regime and establishing a parliamentary republic.
Neither protestors, even millions of them, and certainly not a civilly disobedient public could ever overthrow America's evil and unrivalled power elite and establish a new America with a true democracy serving the common good and at peace with the world.
What is the Answer?
I have written several books presenting answers. [2-6] They are found wanting for various reasons. My newest book, however, soon to be published gives a perfect and workable answer. [7] It proposes resurrecting my "U.S. Democracy Corps" (USDC) with a virtual organization and peopling it with millions of volunteer "Legionnaires for Positive Change." There would be a comprehensive, strategic plan of ways to topple the many "props" the evil elite use to sustain their power. This whole undertaking to succeed obviously would require millions of dollars to undertake such projects as creating a new major newspaper, buying out a small defense contractor and making ploughshares, not weapons of death. Two sources of funds would be solicited, voluntary contributions from the Legionnaires themselves and from a few benevolent and/or converted superrich.
In this forthcoming book I write: "Consequently, I ask any readers who might be interested in owning this blogsite to e-mail me (democracypower|AT|att.netEmail address) about your current activism for peace and socio-economic justice, your contacts with individuals, groups and organizations you could recruit, whom you propose to be the director of the US Democracy Corps, your ideas about the initial initiatives to start undertaking, whether you think sufficient funding could be gotten through a modest membership of millions of Legionnaires and/or from reaching out to any benevolent super-rich. No attachments to your response, please."
The blogsite domain I am referring to is named "usdemocracypower.com," and it is hosted by the website developer, "i-page." My contract with i-page ends April 21, 2025 and my domain registration ends 2027. The new owner would eventually need to negotiate the cost and length of a new contract.
