The U.S. House of Representatives will vote to overturn the health-care law and attack women's access to abortion next week.
Stand up to Boehner. Tell your representative to
vote "no" on both attacks.
Next week, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote to overturn the new health-care law and, in a separate vote, attack women's access to abortion.
These votes are going to show Speaker John Boehner how much support he's got to dismantle our rights and de-fund women's health programs.
Speaker Boehner's anti-choice agenda will take away the promise of expanded access to birth control and prenatal care from women. In fact, he wants more government interference in our personal, private lives, not less.
No one standing in an unemployment line is asking Boehner to launch attacks on legal abortion and women's reproductive-health care. Yet that's exactly what he's doing.
Our message is clear: say no to the repeal of the health-reform law and to a separate resolution threatening a dozen major changes to the new health-care law, which could include a Stupak-like ban on abortion coverage.
The numbers may be stacked against us in the House, but we will not let a single anti-choice attack go unanswered. We must go toe-to-toe with our opponents like the Susan B. Anthony List, which is mobilizing its 280,000 supporters behind Boehner's agenda.1
Contact your representative and urge him or her to vote no on these anti-choice attacks.
Thanks for all you do.
