Bobby Kennedy was once asked how he became US Attorney General at such a young age. Bobby said:
"I studied, I applied myself, and then my brother was elected president."
Would that Hillary Clinton could show such grace and humor in the face of Bernie Sanders' essentially true remark that she is not qualified to be president. She went to law school. She worked hard. And then her politically gifted husband was elected president.
It is an incontrovertible fact that Hillary's US Senate run owed 100% of its success to her unelected role as a First Lady. Until then she had never answered to a voter a single time in her life. From there she got to be Secretary of State, with disastrous consequences and in association with Obama's botched Middle Eastern policies, which we can thank for the rise of ISIS.
The dust-up comes as Sanders hits back at Clinton for saying he should apologize to victims of Sandy Hook, a reference to his gun control record. Taking off the gloves, Sanders then insisted that Clinton apologize for all the millions of needless deaths in Iraq, a war she voted for, which threw the Middle East into the turmoil it remains in today.added 4/10/16
What Bobby Kennedy did with rest of his career speaks for itself, even if launched by his fortuitous association with his brother the president. He took difficult and unpopular positions for the rest of his life, standing with Martin Luther King, with farm labor leader Cesar Chavez, and calling for an end to the Vietnam War at its height. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has gone along to get along, voting for the Iraq War, and backing anti-worker trade agreements like the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP.) The difference in the people who emerged from unqualified beginnings could not be more stark.
