All religions pull together with science. Thus the mirror above reveals mirrors within mirrors. This is the state of what physicist David Bohm and neurologist Karl Pribram call the Holographic Universe/Brain. It reflects the marriage of religion and science. Both are nested within the other.
Even in the revelation of a pattern between science and spirituality, the so-called 'open-minded' science loving atheists refuse to explore anything that challenges their belief system. Yet, many scientists speak directly to spirituality and oftentimes will meld their findings with physics. As such, Fritzof Capra wrote a book titled just that: The Tao of Physics
To help you focus on a true open-minded scientist's view of religion and science, you may wish to read the transcript of Rob Kall's interview with Capra. http://www.opednews.com/Podcast/Fritjof-Capra--The-System-by-Rob-Kall-Balance_Bottom-up_Community_Economy-150102-549.html).
A more generalized introduction to Capra's work is at: http://www.spaceandmotion.com/Philosophy-Fritjof-Capra.htm
For those interested, I went through the transcript and identified how I thought Capra's thesis links to Kall's "Bottom Up" philosophy. These musings of mine are in the comments section.
Christ said, "Judge not lest ye be judged." This commandment is echoed in both atheist and theist mentalities. Opposites are mirror images of one another. "WE go by science," atheists say. "I have been saved by a preacher!" a born again may shout.
