The Omerta Kookaburra in Me Ol' Gum Tree

by John Kendall Hawkins

.

They'll tell you that you're the only person ever

To hear a mafiosi femme fatale warble

And live to tell about that song in a poem.

(Married to a volcanic creature from Roem.)

I don't get her gist, for she likes to garble

and I'm reasonably certain she has a fever.

.

She's a mean girl, that much is for sure.

Lot of them grow up to be mean guys with knuckles,

big furry fucks who come flying off turnbuckles

and wanna flatten your 'to be' or 'not to be.' The gore.
