We are not "social beings" even though nearly everything in human existence is an unimaginably complicated social game.
Language is probably our game of games, but the "social dimension" of things is the virtual God of our lives.
The pity is that this social dimension has next to nothing to do with the deep reality of our existence. Language is not the origin of birth, breathing, blood circulation, or death. Neither do human social antics create the stars, galaxies, oceans, or molten center of this planet. The sad tragedy is that abstract, conceptual, social/mental concoctions are reality itself for our stupendously hypnotized species.
Pragmatics is one thing, but being thought junkies is a form of literal suicide, since only lunatics equate thought with reality.
What makes this even more pitiful is that it is (or should be!) the supreme obviousness of human existence.
And yet, the pig, pig rich continue to clean their toilets with 98% of the human race. And why are they allowed to do this? Because we live in a mental realm that has so disconnected the reality of being alive from the givenness of what an ancient Zen Master called "Absolute Thisness" (which infinitely transcends the fluff of social existence), that we have become a species of ghostly abstractions.
The Bush's, Rothschild's, Paris Hilton's, Saudi Princes and diamond merchants, etc., live the way the live ONLY because the human race has sold its existential, mystical soul to be "members of society"!
This infinite stupidity has robbed our birthright as "children of the universe". Now we're children of a hideous social matrix of rules, delusional identities, words, and conceptual games.
Society should be merely a practical convenience, not the slaughter house for the "Have Not's", i.e., basically the entire human race.
Where is the cosmic ice water that can be thrown into the face of these glassy-eyed thought junkies?
Society, language, politics, religion, and such institutions of obedience and propaganda are the hell we live in so the parasitical elites (2% of the Earth) can live like Gods and Goddesses.
Even "Revolution" is a social dance. We don't need to "change" society, we need to leave it. We need to WAKE UP! The consensus reality of thought and society = the certain and rapid extinction of this glassy-eyed species.
But can we actually do this? Well, like Louis Armstrong said when asked, "What is jazz", "If you have to ask you'll probably never know."
